The story of a typical Montreal ping-pong table

You may have seen concrete ping-pong tables while walking in parks or school yards. For 10 years, this minimalist model with a stainless steel net has been making its way from a park in Rosemont to the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region, through the showroom of the UQAM Design Centre! Its main characteristics are typically Montreal: the shape of the table’s legs inspired by Terre des Hommes, and the concrete legacy of Expo 67, reports journalist Philippe-Antoine Saulnier.
